IRISH director Brian Lally turns his attention to the employment rat race in this promising thriller that loses its way.
Featuring a cast that includes Jonathan Byrne and Lynette Callaghan, this centres on the tangles and individual dramas for a group of employees who work for the same anonymous Dublin computer-programming firm.
Rachel (Callaghan) is a stuckup girl who desperately wants to buy a home in the 'right' part of the city but is running out of time to get the cash for a deposit.
Her workmate Eoin has troubles of his own - he's becoming increasingly uneasy about his impending wedding to the fiancée who wants a lavish affair.
Good looking Tony, on the other hand, is happy to sail through life nailing as many willing women as he can, when he's not making
money that it.
Frank, the quietest and most intriguing of the bunch, is going through an emotional turmoil that's only revealed later in the movie.
Unfortunately, it all descends into a bit of a soap opera, with too many dramatic twists (some of them simply implausible) packed into the movie's running time.
