you are here: home Pub Spy

MUCH of the focus in this well-established pub seemed to be on the offers in the adjoining off-licence. And if you were one to put the feet up and stay at home, the off-licence was certainly the spot for a bargain.
The pub was eerily quiet when the Commandos called. A front bar was populated by senior folk watching television, while at the back a group of young fellas occupied pool tables in neighbouring rooms. The pints were dished up by a quiet but friendly woman behind the bar.
The stout was quite good but the lads were not over excited by a pub that at the time of the visit was not exactly bursting with atmosphere.Yet, there was no real reason to be over critical of the establishment.
Service was good, customers were sound and the toilets were in good nick.A pint cost €4.
